Wachstumsprozess \u00fcber Verdichtung oder durch Ausbreitung, homogene oder heterogene Schrumpfung ? \u2013 die Bev\u00f6lkerungsdichte eines urbanen Raumes bildet ein Kernelement mit Auswirkungen auf Faktoren wie soziale Infrastruktur, technische Infrastruktur, Freiraum, Stadtklima, Wohnraumsicherung und Verkehr. Im Seminar soll untersucht werden welchen Beitrag die gebaute Umwelt leisten kann, um innerhalb dieser Prozesse eine urbane Umgebung mit hoher Lebensqualit\u00e4t zu entwickeln. Da in der Stadtentwicklung Zeithorizonte von mehreren Jahrzehnten betrachtet werden, soll anhand eines Stadtausschnittes eine plausible Zukunft 2050 entwickelt werden. Diese Zukunft soll eine m\u00f6gliche Antwort auf den Einfluss von Schrumpfungs- bzw. Verdichtungsprozessen aufzeigen, wobei bei der Entwicklung dieser stets die Auseinandersetzung mit der Frage: &#8222;Was bedeutet eine nachhaltige Stadtentwicklung im lokalen Kontext?&#8220; im Vordergrund steht.
